(Download We're the Millers) One frequent criticism of Aniston is that she often plays the same character and has a limited range. It’s not something I necessarily agree with but even if it is an opinion that you hold, it’s easy to see that she’s pursuing something more edgy and unusual with this particular character.(Download We're the Millers) She makes more of it work than I’d expected and the inevitable slight romantic angle with David isn’t really cringe-inducing at all. Roberts gets her fair share of memorable lines but it’s really Poulter who makes this film really worth checking out. His line readings are priceless and his character’s arc is both the most satisfying and the most funny.

(Download We're the Millers) Some of the performers feel like they’re chiming in from a very different movie, though, and I think Ed Helms (playing rich drug lord Brad Gurdlinger) is perhaps just a little too cartoonish in his role (although his increasingly surprised reactions to the very notion that his audacious plan is progressing at all are rather great). Nick Offerman and Kathryn Hahn are unsurprisingly terrific in their smaller roles, making the most of the time they have and providing something somewhat unusual.

(Download We're the Millers) Unfortunately, there are times in We’re the Millers where things don’t hold together quite as well as they should. The most obvious points are during the slower central portion of the film, in which it’s harder to understand character motivations and why the group are sticking with each other through this.
